TEG Architects, an architectural, planning and interior design firm, is pleased to welcomes the following architectural staff to the team as the firm continues to grow and expand its work. Eric Hansen joined as a registered architect; Yang Chai is a graduate designer; Daniel Biller, Miles Travis and Autumn Patrick were brought on to provide CADD support.
Eric F. Hansen, AIA | Senior Associate – Architecture
Eric joins the firm as an award-winning architect with 30 years experience in the design of various commercial, institutional, medical and religious projects across the nation. His work has earned several awards including the Award of Excellence from Associated Builders & Contractor for the design of the Kentucky Farm Bureau Corporate Office as well as the National Dream Home Award for Urban Infill Housing amongst others.
Eric received a Master of Business Administration from Bellarmine University and a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Cincinnati. He also serves as a professor for the University of Louisville Honors Program and is a member of the Board of Kentucky Refugee Ministries.
Daniel L. Biller | Associate – Architecture
As a Louisville native, Daniel brings 21 years experience as an architectural designer focusing on schematic design, construction documents, construction administration, project budgeting and project management throughout the area. Past projects involve retail, multi-family, restaurants and more than one billion square feet of business office renovation work including Louisville MSD Corporate office expansion and several Ormsby Park office buildings. He is a graduate of Louisville Technical Institute and Jefferson Community College with degrees in CADD and Liberal Arts.
Yang Chai, Associate AIA | Associate – Architecture
Yang Chai is a graduate designer with international project experience and training that includes architecture theory and history, 3D visualization and civil engineering. Through his education at Clemson University, Yang gained an understanding of the complex issues facing healthcare facility design including the balance between functionality and creativity. Yang has become an exceptional asset in the Trinity Health Regional Medical Center replacement facility in Minot, North Dakota. While developing this knowledge, understanding and experience, he has established the goal of becoming a leading health care designer.
Miles D. Travis | Associate – Architecture
Miles joins the firm to provide production support. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in industrial sciences with a concentration in architectural sciences from Western Kentucky University. He holds a passion for basketball and helping the youth and community in the Louisville area. He is a member of the Muhammad Ali Center Council of Students (MACCS), Hoops 4 Hope, and Men of Quality.
Autumn M. Patrick | Associate – Architecture
Autumn, a graduate of Ivy Tech Community College, joins the firm as a CADD technician. She recently worked with the firm as an intern, and job shadowed Kyle Wilson, partner of TEG Architects, during her studies. While providing project support for the Union Hospital renovation in Terre Haute, she has demonstrated firm loyalty and dedication. She is particularly interested in developing her CADD skills to grow into a project designer role and is passionate about photography and outdoor activities.
Nicole L. Schendl | Architectural Intern
Nicole is a recent graduate of Ball State University who joined the firm as an architectural intern. During her studies, Nicole participated in the CAPItalia Field Study and numerous international tours to discover and discuss preservation and cultural heritage. She enjoys volunteering at organizations such as the Peoria Zoo, P.A.R.C., and various non-for-profits such as nursing homes and food banks.
Continued Growth
In May, the firm revealed the addition of five staff members to the architectural team – including two registered architects. The promotion of Kyle Wilson and Ernie Dreher, IV to partners was also revealed. The firm also announced this summer the addition of a graduate designer, Darrell Burgess, Jr. and three interns: Alex Thomas, Tori Smith and Paige Prowant
