More than 45 individuals and organizations across Kentucky and southern Indiana are represented in this year’s MediStar Award nominees.

Leading the way is the University of Kentucky with five nominations. Baptist Health and Bluegrass Care Navigators are also strongly represented with four nominations each.

First-time nominees Family Directed, HIVE and NASCEND join past nominees such as Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky and Digenis Plastic Surgery Institute. Past MediStar winners, Nazareth Home, Hosparus Health and Signature HealthCARE, round out the nomination list.

Since 2007 IGE Media, publisher of Medical News, has recognized excellence in the business of healthcare at the exclusive MediStar Awards, which honors healthcare professionals for their achievements in advocacy, innovation, education, leadership and aging care. This year we will celebrate seven“best of the best”in the region, including the announcement of the Physician and Nurse of the Year award. The event also features networking with more than 200 healthcare leaders and a cocktail reception. Honorees will be announced at the MediStar Awards on Tuesday, October 29 at the Muhammad Ali Center.
