Dona Rains to serve as Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky board member

The Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky announces Dona Rains, of Paducah, has been selected to serve on its 15-member Board of Directors. The Board is responsible for preserving the Foundation’s endowment and upholding its charitable mission of working to address the unmet health care needs of Kentuckians.

Rains is director of marketing and planning at Baptist Health Paducah where she works with a variety of health groups, including the American Heart Association and the Kentucky Cancer Program. Rains coordinates a variety of childhood obesity initiatives and recently completed the hospital’s third annual Pink Glove Dance breast cancer awareness campaign.

She is a former editor and health reporter at The Paducah Sun and former public relations coordinator for Paducah Public Schools. A Mayfield native, she is a graduate of the University of Kentucky and an alumnus of Leadership Kentucky.
