“Here’s Lookin’ at You, Kid”

Fall fundraiser to benefit American Lung Association in Kentucky to have ‘40s Hollywood theme

Intrigue . . . danger . . . romance . . . mystery . . . snap-brim fedoras and the meaningful lift of a penciled eyebrow, long looks and timeless dialogue and last chances. . .

Ah, the films of the ‘40s, how they flickered across the silver screens and into our memories! But on one October night, the essence of those magical movie moments will flash back to life, as A Breath of Fresh Air presents “Here’s Lookin’ at You, Kid” to raise money for the American Lung Association in Kentucky.

Through donations and sponsorships, the American Lung Association in Kentucky supports research into lung diseases and their treatment; public education about lung health; and advocacy for clean-air initiatives. A Breath of Fresh Air is a Kentuckiana civic advocacy group dedicated to helping people breathe better.

“Here’s Lookin’ at You, Kid” is a dinner-entertainment-auction gala set for Saturday, October 13, 2012 from 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. in the Crystal Ballroom at Louisville’s Brown Hotel. As with the first three fall American Lung Association in Kentucky fundraisers that A Breath of Fresh Air has produced, organizers expect many guests to dress the 1940s part.

From lights-up to closing credits, this will be an action-packed evening, with fine dining, an excellent live auction (featuring such bid-high-items as a weeklong Mayan Riviera Oceanfront Villa getaway!), music, dancing and more. It’ll be this town’s hottest ticket.
