KentuckyOne Health, the largest health care system in the Commonwealth, has promoted Jo Carol Stephens, M.S.N., R.N., B.C., to director of the KentuckyOne Healthy Lifestyle Centers in Louisville.
The Healthy Lifestyle Centers are a new concept in prevention and wellness that provide medically supervised exercise, nutrition counseling, stress management and more to help people get and stay healthy.
There are currently two Louisville area centers open, one at Medical Center Jewish Northeast and one downtown at 250 E. Liberty Street. Another center is set to open at Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital later this year.
Stephens has nearly 30 years experience in health care and a 28-year tenure with KentuckyOne Health’s legacy organizations. She most recently served as manager of the Healthy Lifestyle Centers. Prior to that she worked as team leader of the cardiac rehab center.
Stephens holds a master’s degree in nursing from Vanderbilt University and an associate’s degree in nursing from Midway College. She lives in Bloomfield, Ky., with her husband of 14 years, Kevin Stephens, who is a staff pharmacist at Jewish Hospital.
