Lexington Clinic’s physician group and all associate practices have achieved accreditation by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC), becoming the first, and only, medical group practice in Kentucky to receive this accreditation.

The AAAHC accreditation was awarded for the maximum number of three years and demonstrates not only that Lexington Clinic meets nationally recognized standards of care set by the AAAHC, but also is committed to providing quality healthcare to all patients of Lexington Clinic and associate practices.

AAAHC accreditation is specifically for organizations that provide diagnostic or medical care on an outpatient basis. To receive accreditation, a facility and its staff must undergo an extensive and rigorous self-assessment and on-site survey by the AAAHC’s expert surveyors— volunteer physicians, nurses and administrators who are actively involved in ambulatory healthcare.
