The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) ranks Passport Health Plan #21 among 131 Medicaid health insurance plans in “NCQA’s Medicaid Health Insurance Plan Rankings 2013-2014.”
Passport Health Plan is a managed care organization serving more than 127,000 Medicaid members in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The rankings are based on clinical quality, member satisfaction and NCQA Accreditation scores. Passport Health Plan is a nonprofit provider-sponsored Medicaid health plan that is contracted with the Cabinet for Health and Family Services to administer Medicaid benefits for 127,000 Kentuckians. Passport Health Plan will begin administering Medicaid benefits throughout the entire state of Kentucky in 2014, after successfully operating in Jefferson County and the 15 surrounding counties over the past 16 years.
