Ryan Parker has been named vice president of diversity and inclusion for KentuckyOne Health.

Parker has seven years of experience working with health systems on diversity and inclusion initiatives. He joined KentuckyOne Health on Jan. 4, 2016, from Robert Wood Johnson (RWJ) University Hospital in New Brunswick, N.J., where he served as chief diversity and inclusion officer and assistant vice president of diversity and inclusion.

Prior to joining RWJ, he served in similar roles at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Georgia Institute of Technology, University of Pittsburgh and the Association of American Medical Colleges in Washington, D.C.

At KentuckyOne Health, Parker will work to promote the Purpose and Core Values of the organization by providing strategic and tactical leadership for all diversity and inclusion-related matters. He will be responsible for developing, implementing and measuring diversity and inclusion initiatives, and will lead the Diversity Leadership Council.

Parker holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Jacksonville State University and is currently completing a master’s degree in health administration at Saint Joseph’s University. He serves as vice chair of the board of directors for the American Conference on Diversity.
