Shewmaker named associate director of healthcare consulting services

Adam Shewmaker, FHFMA, has been promoted to Associate Director of Healthcare Consulting Services at Dean Dorton Allen Ford. Shewmaker leads the firm’s Healthcare Consulting Services group. He provides healthcare consulting services to various healthcare providers and entities, including community-based hospitals, specialty surgery hospitals, multi-hospital systems, multi-specialty physician clinics, and managed care payers. His expertise is tailored towards strategically managing accounts receivable and improving overall cash performance for healthcare organizations. Specialized consulting services he provides include revenue cycle operational assessments and process improvement engagements.

A native of Harrodsburg, Ky., Shewmaker graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Healthcare Administration from Western Kentucky University. He is a member of the American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management, a fellow in the Healthcare Finance Management Association, and participated as a member of the Louisville Healthcare Fellows program.
