Signature HealthCARE helps induct nursing home residents into national Hall of Fame

Representative Steve Riggs, recently visited SHC of East Louisville to honor nursing home residents and others during Signature HealthCARE’s 2013 Hall of Fame celebration, the single largest-known Hall of Fame induction ceremony in history.

Signature Healthcare’s 87 facilities simultaneously celebrated their Hall of Fame inductees by honoring the achievements of residents, stakeholders and community leaders. The contributions made by these “Hometown Heroes” are an integral piece of building the fabric of our society.

Since 2003, the Hall of Fame event was hosted annually at different times throughout the year. Broadcasting several via the internet, local communities were encouraged to help in the celebration marking the very first year Signature Healthcare synchronized the event. More can be found on event website, SHCHallofFame.com.

The Hall of Fame concept was developed and launched companywide as a means of acknowledging the remarkable accomplishments of residents and staff. Later evolving to include members of the community, the Hall of Fame now even features elected officials at the local,

state and federal levels.

Over 300 distinguished individuals were honored. This year’s inductees ranged from a former PGA golf professional to a former secret service agent for President George H.W. Bush. The Hall of Fame event is a way to say ‘thanks’ and show appreciation to our “Hometown Heroes.”

“Our residents have given so much to their hometowns and our nation, and these contributions deserve to be celebrated,” Steier said. “The Hall of Fame Café induction ceremonies are a small way for us to say ‘thank you.’ ”
