WHAT: The University of Louisville School of Nursing will host a free health fair focused on prevention measures and overall wellness Friday, Sept. 14. Students and faculty will offer free blood pressure & diabetes screenings, nutritional health information, smoking cessation tips, information on how to detect pediatric head trauma, and more. The health fair is being held in conjunction with the school’s golf scramble to raise funds for student scholarships.

WHO: About 100 nursing students and 10 faculty & staff

WHERE: Shawnee Golf Course, 460 Northwestern Parkway, Louisville, KY 40212

WHY: The School of Nursing is a collaborator in UofL’s Signature Partnership, a university effort to enhance the quality of life and economic opportunity for residents of West Louisville. The school hopes this health fair will equip residents with important health information that will empower them to make better health choices.
