“It is an honor to be selected to this prestigious group, as well as the opportunity to engage in statewide discussions relative to Kentucky on a variety of topics,” said Mitchell.
Created in 1984, the educational nonprofit focuses on participants with a wide variety of leadership abilities and career accomplishments. They meet and talk with current Kentucky leaders about opportunities, needs and resources, during a series of seven monthly, two-day sessions held throughout the commonwealth.
The curriculum includes the state’s economy, education, health and human services, law and justice, environment, and its rich cultural heritage. Discussions will focus on the attributes of leadership – what it means to be a leader. The group’s opening retreat will be held June 7-9, 2017 in Berea, Ky
