Stites & Harbison, PLLC, has named Jennifer Landrum Elliott as Chair of the firm’s Health Care Service Group, effective August 1. Elliott succeeds Charles J. (Mike) Cronan IV, who has served as the service group chair for nearly a decade. Cronan will continue his legal practice in the areas of business and complex litigation as well as health care law.
Elliott is a member (partner) of the firm. She is based in the Louisville, Ky., office and focuses her practice on regulatory and transactional health care law. She is a frequent author and lecturer on health care topics for both national and local organizations. She was named to the 2010 Partners in Health Care by Business First for her vital work for the health care industry and was named to the 2011 Forty under 40 list also by Business First.
Outside of Stites & Harbison, Elliott stays active in the community. Governor Beshear appointed her to serve on the Board of Trustees of the Kentucky Retirement Systems in 2009 and reappointed her in 2012. She has served as Chairman of the Kentucky Retirement System Board (2011-2012); currently chairs both the Retiree Health and Legal, Compliance & Governance Committees, and also sits on both the Audit and Investment Committees of the board. She previously served on the Board and as Secretary of the Centre College Alumni Association, on the Board and as President of the Kentucky Academy of Hospital Attorneys, on the Board of Sarabande Books, Inc., as Chair of the Health Law Section of the Louisville Bar Association, and as Vice-President of the Health Law Section of the Kentucky Bar Association.
